Presentations

All presentations will take place in the Guyon Auditorium in Morris Library. Virtual presentations will be recorded and added to our YouTube channel.

Student Poster Session

The poster session will take place in the rotunda outside Guyon Auditorium. If you are a student interested in presenting a poster, please contact breannawhitley@gmail.com. Posters should highlight past or future work relating to botany, ecology, and/or natural history in Illinois. They can address the conference theme of “Illinois in a Changing Climate,” but that is not necessary.

Botanical Hike

Join SINPS President and Shawnee National Forest Ecologist Nick Seaton on a botanical hike at Wildcat Bluff, a limestone glade that overlooks Heron Pond Nature Preserve. Come dressed for the weather and bring water and snacks. Parts of the trail are steep and can be muddy. For more information, contact Nick Seaton.

If you are on iNaturalist, consider joining the Illinois Botanists Big Year 2023 project!
