Southern Chapter Field Trip to Max Creek

Saturday, July 17, 2021, 9am-12noon

Join Nick Seaton, board member with the Southern Illinois Native Plant Society at Max Creek to botanize the plants found along the trail system. This event is open to the public but will be capped at 15 participants. Please bring water and snacks and expect to hike approximately 3 miles from 9-12 noon on Saturday July 17th.  Max Creek is located north of Vienna off of Taylor Ridge Lane. Taylor Ridge Lane is on the east side of the road headed North on IL rt 45. parking location – Lat:37.479885, Long: -88.824525 We will meet at the parking location at 9 am and take the loop trail through the woods down to the creek looking at interesting plants along the way.
