About Membership

The Illinois Native Plant Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, statewide organization. Membership contributions helps us provide resources and experiences relating to our mission of studying, appreciating, and conserving the native flora and natural communities of Illinois.

As a member you will receive:

• Erigenia, the peer-reviewed scientific journal of INPS
• The Harbinger, our quarterly newsletter (electronic format)
• Chapter newsletters
• Discounted admission to the Annual Gathering, hosted by a different chapter each year
• Notifications of field trips, meetings, presentations, workshops, and other events
• Priority RSVP to events for some chapters when attendance is limited

Annual INPS membership renewals are due January 1st of each calendar year and include the following categories:

Sign-ups prior to August 2024: Sign-ups prior to October 1st of the calendar year will be good for the remainder of that year and the next year, with renewals due in January. 

New memberships and renewals occurring After August 2024 renew automatically; cancel anytime. 

Cancellations: Please email inps.membership@gmail.com with the subject line CANCELLATION REQUEST to initiate your cancellation 14 days or more before your auto-renewal date.
