This walk will explore the public walking trails in the prairies and Big Woods areas located north of outbound Pine. The walk will mainly look at different plant species that occur on-site but will also discuss management history of the natural areas, biodiversity, pollinators, and current management. It will also answer questions the group may have about ecology at Fermilab. There will be an optional native seed collection at the end of the walk.
Masks are currently optional. Everyone is expected to treat others with respect, including wearing a mask or maintaining extra distance upon request. Anyone with symptoms or who has been in contact with a covid-positive person should stay home.
